A statement of the range of needs of the young people that Windsor House can provide support and accommodation to
Young people placed at Windsor House may present with challenging behaviour and have emotional difficulties and may have one or more of the following: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, opposition defiant disorder or relationship and attachment difficulties.
Young people who are in Windsor House will have often suffered abuse or neglect prior to moving in and as a result exhibit behaviours that may include self-harm and have difficulties trusting adults and forming healthy relationships.
We aim to provide young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties with a kind, caring and nurturing home environment where they can grow and develop. We will work with professionals to support our young people to become self-aware and begin to deal with any underlying trauma, loss, neglect, and rejection that they may have faced.
Our main focus will be working with our young people to prepare them for independent living and preparing them for employment, education and training.
